Legacy is Forever betting you'll roll alts

A button appears at level 25 and every character you make after it is cheaper to level. Plus the one perk that can lock you out of your own talent points.

You'll be level 25 on your first character when a button you've never seen appears on the micro bar. That's Legacy, and it's the first thing in Forever that doesn't belong to the character you're playing. It belongs to you.

Everything you buy in it, every alt you ever roll already has.

The 21 perks that are filled in, with the client's own icons. Six more slots sit empty across the three trees. No press shot of the pane exists yet, so this is the closest honest look at it.

What you notice first is that levelling got cheaper

Not faster. Cheaper.

Vendor prices drop 10%. Your rested experience banks 20% quicker and holds more of it. You lose 40% less durability when you die, which on a hardcore-adjacent levelling server is the difference between repairing and not bothering. Reputation and honour both tick up 10% faster.

None of that makes you hit harder. All of it makes the fourth character you level hurt less than the first one did.

The profession perks go further. Master Chef gives every cook a 50% shot at a second result. Bountiful Harvest doubles the rare mats you pull out of nodes. If you're the person in your guild who levels mining on three characters, that one's aimed squarely at you.

Then you find the node that changes your character

Adventure has one called Talented, and it's the only thing in here that touches your talent points.

StepTalent points start at
1Level 9
2Level 8
3Level 7
4Level 6
5Level 5

Five levels earlier, on every character you will ever make. You're still capped at 51 points total, so your level 60 build is identical. What changes is the stretch from 5 to 10, which in Classic is the most character-less part of the game: no talents, no identity, just autoattack and a level 1 ability.

Buying this doesn't raise your ceiling. It deletes the boring part.

Is it worth caring about right now?

Partly. The trees work and the numbers are in. The other two tabs aren't.

Legacy Challenges has a full interface and nothing behind it. The rewards tab, a progress track, is the same. Six of the 27 tree slots are still blank placeholders, two in each tree. And there's a seasonal cap on how many points you can spend in total, which means whatever this becomes, it's built to reset.

So: a third of a system, with the least interesting third finished. Convenience perks are easy to design. Challenges that are worth doing are not.

What it tells you about Forever is more interesting than the perks themselves. A game that builds account-wide quality-of-life before launch is a game that expects you to have six characters, not one. Plan accordingly.

Everything above is from beta build 1.60.1.69977 via wago.tools, and the full perk list has all 21 with their values. Beta numbers move.
