Stop rolling front/back damage boost. It does nothing for you. Not "less", not "situationally worse" — zero.
Your damage goes through spirits, and the kit can't use positional boosts at all. The model puts your positional uptime at 0, which takes the stat that's fourth-best for most classes and drops it below everything.
| Stat | You | A melee class |
|---|---|---|
| +1% Front/back damage boost | +0.00% | +0.70% |
Every front/back line on your gear is a dead line. It's the most common way Spiritmasters waste rolls, and it's invisible because the stat looks perfectly good on the tooltip.
Crit damage over crit chance
No crit-damage passive in your kit, so unlike Assassin or Cleric you're not near the cap. Crit damage keeps full value and beats crit chance.
| Stat | You | A class with a crit-damage passive |
|---|---|---|
| +1% Critical damage boost | +0.51% | +0.44% |
| +1% Crit chance | +0.40% | +0.53% |
Stat priority
| Stat | Per unit | |
|---|---|---|
| Smite | +0.80% per 1% | |
| Attack increase | +0.76% per 1% | |
| Combat speed | +0.74% per 1% | Worth more to you in practice, see below |
| Damage boost | +0.62% per 1% | |
| Weapon damage boost | +0.62% per 1% | |
| Critical damage boost | +0.51% per 1% | Full value for you |
| Attack | +0.43% per 10 | |
| Crit chance | +0.40% per 1% | |
| Attack bonus | +0.34% per 10 | |
| Front/back boost | +0.00% | Skip entirely |
With front/back gone your list is effectively one stat shorter than everyone else's, which makes gearing simpler rather than harder. Fewer things to chase.
Smite comes from Pet Genus lines 3 and 9, helmet and cloak lines, and Wisdom Pantheon. Pet Genus guide has the detail.
You're the class for bad ping
Spirit damage means you're less sensitive to latency than most. Combat speed reads at +0.74% per 1% for everybody, but classes that need tight input timing leak a chunk of that to lag. You leak less.
If you're playing from somewhere with a rough connection to the servers, this is the class that punishes you least, and combat speed is the stat that stays honest on your bar.
Wings: genuinely a coin toss
| Pair | Korean Spiritmasters wearing it |
|---|---|
| Eroded Wings | 45% |
| Talisra's Wings | 43.5% |
| Brawler Wings | 5.5% |
45 against 43.5 is the closest split of any class. There's no consensus here, so run whichever you can actually get your hands on.
Worth noticing though: Eroded carry max attack, multi-hit, HP and front attack damage boost. That last one is worthless to you, so you're effectively getting a three-stat pair where everyone else gets four. Talisra's give attack bonus, defence, accuracy and cooldown reduction, none of it wasted.
Eroded edge the usage numbers, but on the actual value you receive, Talisra's are arguably the better Spiritmaster pair.
